Grahapravesam

Grahapravesam

is a ceremony performed on the occasion of one's first entry into a new house. Once the house is ready, the family moves in on an auspicious day that is determined by the astrological charts. Purity of panchang (almanac) and auspicious time (muhurtha) must be considered during the grihapravesh. Three types of grihapravesh have been mentioned in our ancient scriptures. It is the belief that by doing the House Warming pooja before starting to live in the house, is very Auspicious and it gives all good things. Hence, the House warming pooja is being done for every new house that is built. The House warming pooja is otherwise called as grahapravesam, meaning entry to the house.

House warming puja package contains the set of items required to do the grahapravesam otherwise called as House warming pooja. Normally, House warming pooja is a set of Homams done when people enter new house consisting of Homams for Ganapathi, Vasthu, Navagrahas & Sudarshana.
